Ignored the Gulthias Tree

So my players successfully defeated the Druids at Yesterhill and stopped the ritual. However, they have ignored the Gulthias Tree... what would be a good repercussion to this action?
One of my players picked up the Gulthias Staff so I think I'm gonna have a squad of Blights will randomly find and attack the party trying to get the staff back but would love a few more ideas
