BBQ sauce is grainy

Last night I made a batch of BBQ sauce for a barbeque I'm doing on Thursday. It's the first time I ever made bbq sauce and it taste yummy, has a great consistency, and nice color but the texture is somewhat gritty due to some of the powdered spices I put in. I'm wondering how I can get the texture more smooth. I'm making bbq for two Texans so it has to be good 😅
