Concrete paint or stain? I am looking on advice on restoring my front covered patio porch to a nice looking level. Iā€™ve tried diy cleaning and hiring a pro but no luck as this concrete is 60 years old. Whatā€™s the best route to get this looking new/modern?

We use all Husqavarna floor grinders. Pg530 & PG820. Those are 21ā€ and 30ā€ heads

We do these all the time. Best option would be a sand or quartz finished Epoxy or Urethane concrete. Looks amazing and mimics sand finished concrete and we get 15 years out of these when we refinish driveways. Not really a homeowner DIY but if you do attempt it All I can say, is prep prep prep itā€™s all about the prep! You MUST grind the floor leaving it very corse like 20grit metal segments so the overlay has something good to grip to. Donā€™t listen to the ā€œjust etch the surfaceā€ preparation recommendations.

Polished concrete is beautiful indoor or outdoor and I would not be concerned about slip resistance; I would be concerned about the current amount of oil stains that will only be amplified when you Polish, stain or seal that slab.

We are in the Northwest if you need products or expertise.
