Hey all, my internets upload speed has been screwed the past day, and I've gone through a lot of effort to fix it to no avail. I usually have around 11-16 mbps, but now it is down to only a measly 2-3 mbps. Here is a photo of it when I ran it on speedtest.net, compared to my old speeds: https://imgur.com/a/ihquJ0V.
I tried live chatting with Customer Support, and they ran some tests (something about resetting the internet and sending signals), but the upload speed is still none the better. I think it could be related to hardware, as my area in California saw the effects of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake, and it could of dislodged something resulting in the lowered speeds. And yes, I have tried turning the modem on and off again after disconnecting everything.
What are some things I can do to try to fix the problem? If it is hardware based as I expect, how can I go about checking? I don't think it could of affected the modem - moreso just something in the infrastructure in my area if that is the case. I tried checking for any outages or problems, but there is nothing.
Thanks!
