Where to live Moving to Columbus solo, Young Professional
Post Body

I am a single 22-year old female fresh out of college and I just got a job in Lockbourne, OH and will be moving in the next few months. I'm from South Florida (Boca Raton) so I'm very used to the suburban life and am really excited to be in more of a city environment!

My budget is around $1200 for a 1BR/1BA apartment. I have some wiggle room there but the cheaper the better :). I know that the further I get from Downtown, the less expensive rent will be but I love the idea of living in an area with high walkability (sidewalks for running and proximity to restaurants and parks etc.) and lots of events to get more engaged in the community since I will be moving alone and don't know anyone in the state. I've dug around a bit on this subreddit but i feel like I'm limiting my scope.

Any advice on potential neighborhoods to look into with lots to do but possibly on the cheaper side? I don't mind a commute (the places I've looked seem to be about 25-30 min which i think is my max)

Thanks in advance!
