While education is increasingly important for China has it transitions into a proper socialist society there has been a belief that this educational focus has favored intellectuals over the common worker. While intellectuals are needed to help manage the country, teach the next generation and to improve China's livelihood while maintaining Maoist principles, the common worker also needs skills to succeed in this day and age. It is very hard, if not improbable for the common man to succeed in society without the skills provided by experience. This experience can not be provided by schools exactly as schools are meant to give a general education with specialization. However, without experience and without specialization, how can the common man succeed and gain the opportunity to work when competing with that have experience and the required specialization.
In the past, familial ties were used to overcome this issue, but this only led to corruption and nepotism, something that is unacceptable to a modern socialist society such as China. While we still self-criticize in order to continually build a modern Chinese society, we need to eliminate the structural 'justifications' for deviance. As such, schools across China will be outfitted with various workshops, aimed at giving Chinese students the opportunities needed to gain some experience without it being 'fully on the job'. These workshops will involve community leaders who will be compensated for their brief removal from their societal obligations in order to do apprentices. To make sure that these connections are fostered and socialist solidarity is further enhanced, apprenticeships between interested students and those practicing trade will be endorsed by the government, aimed at breaking the artificial barriers set up by capitalism which have been unfortunately transferred to modern society, even such a society as advanced and evolved as China.
