The Republic of Ghana is a small little African nation that has been settled for centuries, since the 11th century, to be more specific.

Being released as a Dominion in 1957 and as a Republic in 1960, it is a very versatile claim with loads of directions and plans, mine include:

• Transforming Ghana into a proper democratic republic, with firm republicanist traditions and strong links to democracies all over the world, being a small yet strong power in West Africa.

• Liberalizing and developing the Ghanaian economy into a free-market economy, counting on the help of the US, UK, France and others to make sure it is developed as fast as I can, albeit as healthy as I can to make sure I don't suffer the consequences of intense economic growth.

• Building links in democracies, I plan to tie myself properly into the world stage by doing economic treaties and general exchanges with the democratic world powers, along with maintaing amicable if not friendly relations with the USSR as well. At least as much as I can without the US beating me on the head.

• Militarily, I plan on depending mostly on US military equipment before I can foster a very small arms industry for small arms and gradually upgrade to artillery and APC/IFV, but most likely not going further than that, relying on foreign powers for my air force and armored divisions.

• With my neighbors, I plan on taking full action into integrating and developing the region with Ghana at it's helm, maybe by developing a small common market in the countries around me before going further, with the hopes of doing actual political integration with the other nations, such as Togo and Benin, for instance.
