Post Body

My first Coachella was 2001. I was in high school in my senior year. I was just about to graduate. A good friend of mine had heard about Jane's Addiction headlining this fairly new festival called Coachella and decided that he was going. He bought two tickets one for himself and one for his girlfriend. I bought two tickets at Ticketmaster in JC Penny (I think) for my GF and myself. His mother drove us all the way out to Indio and it was amazing. We got there just as the Dandy Worhols started. We caught "Bohemian Like You" and then moved onto Iggy Pop and then The Roots on the main stage. That's where we stayed. Weezer was next and they blew it away. Paul Oakenfold had a set after Weezer but it was kinda lame. His records kept blowing in the wind and the sound wasn't the best. Then Jane's Addiction was supposed to come on but they were hella late. They ended up taking the stage like twenty or thirty minutes late and the crowd went insane. My girlfriend and I almost got crushed when the crowd rushed forward. I remember seeing two people slow dancing during Summertime Rolls while the crowd went nuts around them. I ended up leaving the crowd and just chilled out on an inflatable pool looking up at the stars and enjoying the music. It was a great time. I ended up going back in '08, '10, '11, and '12 (W1)
