How do I clean my shower?

I live in a kind of small apartment that has poor air circulation, poor ventilation, and no central AC. My bathroom is connected to my bedroom as well. Whenever I try to clean my shower, even if I only use Clorox wipes, the chemical smell is HORRIBLE and gives me horrible headaches and makes me feel sick. I used to use Microban but it's even worse than the clorox wipes. I have tried closing the bathroom door & turning on the exhaust fan and this still doesn't work.
