So today i reached level 13. I have about 8 cards that are max level (all commons) and on my way to getting hog level 11 (my first rare max)
A new member in my clan immediately said "PAY TO WIN!" and i thought ??? how? I've only spent 100$ on this game for the value packs, i've spent my gems wisely and gotten tons of 12 win grand challenges to help boost my gold/card economy.
I explained to this young lad, that pay to win doesn't exist. If i make a deck with my max level commons and face against another "p2w" player who has spent like 10000$ on the game... who has the advantage?? NO ONE, we are both max level. But he spent 100x more money than i did.
This is why "p2w" doesn't exist. Paying for money DOES NOT give you an advantage in the game that f2p players cannot get. It just speeds up the process of getting to max level. For people who have more money than they do time, buying a few (or few hundred) packs/gem bundles is a great idea. This will get you to max level faster, but does not give you an inherit advantage that other players cannot get through normal f2p progression.
Especially when playing challenges/tournament modes. All levels are scaled down... so really as soon as you get tournament standard levels, you are on equal level as everyone else.
