no... dropping arena's does not HELP your chances at getting ANY CARD. If you really want that lavahound so you think "Hey there are only 2 legendaries in arena 4 its like WAY better to stay there for lavahound". You are wrong.

Here let me do the math for you.

For my example i will be using super magical chest since it has the highest odds of getting a legendary.

Arena 10 example

• formula for legendary chance = ((N*L)/C)/F If you dont know the formula look it up.
• (684*10)/18/600 = 63.33% chance for a legendary.
• There are 10 legendaries so multiply 1/10 with 63.33% you get 6.333% chance for lavahound

Arena 4 example:

• (360*2)/12/600 (the values here change because you are in arena 4, only 2 legendaries available and 12 commons)
• (360*2)/12/600 = 10% (wow exactly 10% thats weird) chance of getting a legendary from arena 4 SMC.
• There are 2 legendaries available in arena 4 so multiply 1/2 with 10% you get 5.0% chance for lavahound

Arena 8 example:

• (576*10)/18/600 = 53.33% chance for legendary
• 1/10 * 53.33% chance = 5.33% chance for lava hound.

NOTE/EDIT: i didn't make this post to get upvotes, i just recently saw a lot of people asking this question. However, i believe that very helpful posts like this one (and there are many people who make posts like this) Should be pinned to the front for a day or two so that frequent redditors regardless of skill level can see them.
