The Opening of S.P.Q.R.
With peace restored the S.P.Q.R. is opening up for the first time on Civmc and welcoming new citizens, residents, traders, embassies, and more.
The S.P.Q.R. is a historically Roman themed civ with something to offer almost anyone. Whether you're brand new to the server or a long time civ enjoyer, whether you're just looking for a place to hangout while you explore the server or looking to settle down primarily, whether you're a casual or reclusive player or someone looking to contribute to a larger group. Builders, grinders, farmers, merchants, politicians, administrators, and even fighters, all are welcome.
The S.P.Q.R. as a civ can trace its civ lineage back to 1.0 almost ten years ago - on civmc we're a moderate sized civ settled in the middle of the ,- quadrant. With a main city being built and several smaller satellite settlements in the area in several different biomes. There is much work left to do and anyone looking for larger projects to participate in will be right at home.
What the S.P.Q.R. can offer newer players:
- Starting equipment to get you off the ground.
- Free food
- A temporary residence for shorter stays
- Building plots for private houses
- Access to public factories
- Connection to transport infrastructure
- Nether access
- Farms and more
What the S.P.Q.R. can offer everyone:
- Ongoing build projects to join in on using litematic to construct larger builds and campuses with the group.
- Larger plots for your own projects.
- Access to our build server to help plan out future builds.
- Buy in to domestic xp production
- The opportunity to help expand and harden security infrastructure.
- Participation and mobility in an evolving political organization.
- The security of being a part of a larger alliance community.
- Unplanned lands for new towns.
The S.P.Q.R. is moving forward with plans to celebrate the winter Festival of Saturnalia in December and we're in the early stages of planning a series of international games for early 2023 to celebrate the civs' decennial in the civ genre. There is a lot of work to do - anyone looking to contribute to these kinds of events will be right at home.
