Political Announcements!

• The election for October-November Tribune has been concluded. 17 voters have turned out in total and the final tally stands at: Spentza: 8 Coni_s2: 5 Kyx: 3 Parasitic: 1

Spentza is the next Tribune set to succeed Seto667 immediately Congratulations, and thanks to everyone who participated.

• The final changes to citizenship classes will be formalized in the coming days.... the largest change will be that regarding the requirements for Honorary Citizenship.... Details are not official yet, but.... It is likely Honorary citizenship will be restricted to only those people's already residing as primary residents in a formal ally. This requirement will unfortunately result in the trimming of some of the honorary citizens we have had here, we're sorry, we have to draw the line somewhere. This may change again in the future, but this will likely be the system going forward beginning in the next few days. (Exceptions may be given, or of course you're welcome to come set up a home or claim an apartment here in-game)

• I have withdrawn my bid to get rid of Coni.

Housekeeping Announcements

• As of September 12, the SPQR has officially entered into a stronger treaty with Lusitania via the Treaty of Portucal and Roma, *A formal ceremony is being planned to take place in-game, probably in Lusitania to commemorate the event.

The Following messures have been proposed and passed by the Senate after Tuesday 24, September...

• The Punishments prescribed by the legal code have been clarified to differentiate between End Time and Exile Time. The updates will appear some time in the formal legal code: https://www.reddit.com/r/CivSPQR/wiki/legal (not yet updated)

• @Montez#5702 is now the Prefect of the newly created Prefecture of Olympus near Latifundia. Details on that will follow.

• We have decided to enter into a bid for hosting Winter Games with Lusitania sometime in December or January. The idea is still in its infancy, if you're interested in helping out let us know

• @Le_Brine#7759 is now the Prefect of Aquileia, a special district in and beyond Southern Roma. More details on that will follow.

Security Related

• It has been decided that Pirater's threats to grief the SPQR were serious enough to warrant a 50 diamond bounty on him and his alts: (Pirater, Amalure , LordBowman , Omnibenevolent). If anyone sees or hears anything from these accounts, please log off safely and ping the Senators.

• Security concerns persist throughout the map and caution is advised whenever traveling outside our borders or the lands of our allies. In particular the areas of Laconia, Adina, Corvus, and Hallow, should be avoided if possible. (There was a brief period of about 5 minutes where Laconia had placed a bounty on all SPQR citizens for the bounty on Pirater)

• Tentatively.... to remedy security concerns at home..... every resident citizen here in the SPQR has the right to demand foreigners leave on my authority should they be suspected of threatening behavior that might in any way be against the safety of the individuals, or anyone in the SPQR, or the SPQR as a whole.... any requests that are ignored or denied should be reported to the Senators to look into trespassing charges. More on this to come.
