Being visibly disabled?

Post Body

Today I had to get (non-temporary) braces for my back and legs. I’m probably getting them for my arms, and crutches too. I’ve never been visibly disabled before, but I’m scared. I don’t want additional attention, but everyone would notice if I’m wearing shorts/skirts or a short sleeved shirt. I’m trying to be prepared of the questions people will ask me about it, and telling people politely I don’t want to talk about it. Can someone tell me in their everyday life how it is having to use mobility aids? Do you truly get stared at everyday? I’m in high school and other students can be really nosy.
