Hey, 16 here. As an early graduate I’m looking forward to going to college but I unfortunately have crooked teeth. It makes me feel really insecure and is the reason why I stopped going to most events. God knows how much this troubles me. I’m learning to pursue holiness and it’s the best thing I’ve ever did. The Bible DOES say present your body as a living sacrifice BUT God doesn’t judge our actions but our motives behind it. I don’t want to try braces because that’s 3 years and my insurance doesnt cover Byte aligner treatment.
The more mundane the "is it a sin?" question is, the more I have concerns that people don't understand what Christ actually did. (Its really not that far off from asking "How much does the food cost?" for a complimentary buffet.)

You should read Romans, friend. The power of the law went to Christ, so we can live by grace and faith, not the old way of what is or isn't sin, according to the law.
Romans 5:13 outlines how sin existed before the law, but sin isn't counted if there's no law for it to break. So what on earth made you concerned enough to ask if checks notes 'fixing crooked teeth' is a sin? The Bible says no such thing.
I thought you made it clear in the post itself, this wasn't a matter of vanity. Even if it was or wasn't, asking if a dental procedure transgresses against God, is not the question that needs answered.
