About a month or 2 ago, I’m heading over to a popular restaurant in one of the highest income areas in town to meetup with BF for dinner. A plump, youngish, somewhat well dressed guy with a backpack approached me near the entrance begging for me to pay for a meal inside. Insists he just wants a meal to go, he’s hungry, not asking for cash. I’m a few mins early and I felt that I can’t turn down hungry people, so I agree to order him a meal to go at their front desk.
As were walking in, he now wants to sit at the bar and have me order him his meal and also a drink there. I refuse and tell him all I’m going to do is order food for him to go, at the front desk and then I need to be on my way. I do just that, and he orders a burger with fries, but after they’ve run my card he tries to tell him that he wants to stay and eat at a table and demands them to give him a drink. He repents to just a soft drink even. The staff turn to me to ask if they can run my card again for the drink. I said “fine” for a soda, that’s it, then I left the front desk once they gave me my bill.
Not a horribly entitled story compared to others, I know, but probably the first time I’ve ever experienced a CB in real life
