Nurse said she just “wanted to slap us.”

Post Body

Hey Charlotte, and the Charlotte Dobre Reddit! Im a CNA, and this story takes place about 4 years ago. I work in a nursing home that is part long term care, and part rehabilitation (after surgery).

I had a nurse, let’s call her, Bonnie, who was kinda a bitch. She would complain that my hall partner, and I, wouldn’t come get her when she asked us to. In reality, she would disappear, and we couldn’t find her.

Anyways, on one busy day my partner, and I were running around because it was BUSY. We took vitals at the beginning of the shift, but had not been able to put them in because we were so busy. Bonnie asked why the vitals weren’t put in, and we told her we hadn’t had a chance to. She said “I could just slap you both.”

I didn’t like that.

So the next day, my hall partner, and I put our vitals in the computer, then minimize the screen. I think it was to -50. We also maximized it to 1,000. We did this for about a week, and Bonnie couldn’t figure out why this kept happening. I asked the unit boss as innocently as I could what was happening with the computer. She said Bonnie probably broke it.

This was my petty revenge, and she quit months later. But I will always remember her.
