Hi all. My cat Mia is 1.5 years old now and unfortunately during her first 6 months with us she didn't encounter many other people. The result seems to be that whenever we have visitors she will either hide in a cupboard or dash out the cat flap. If she goes out, she won't come back in until either the people have left or, if they are staying overnight, she'll come in during the night and leave again in the morning.

We're just a bit worried about her being out for so long especially if the weather was bad. Should we worry or just leave her to do her thing? Are there any techniques or training we can do to get her more used to visitors so she isn't as stressed and scared? She's a lovely cat and not violent at all, just scared of people.

We have another younger cat who is absolutely fine around other people.
