So I am 30 years old, and I am having to buy a new grill almost every 2 years. (I usually pay between $200 & $300 for a grill).
I brush off the grates, but I know it's not enough. The heat shields rust. The drip pans always rust out and you can't ever find a replacement.
Currently, I have a Dyna-Glo going on 4 years. I have replaced the grate and heat shields. I couldn't find a drip pan to fit though, so it's just currently on the patio pad. The brackets to the heat shields have rusted to the point they can't hold anymore. A new grill is probably going to be needed for next year.
Is this normal to replace parts or are grills just disposable nowadays?
What do I need do before I preheat my grill?
What do you do after you are done cooking?
How often do you clean heat shield and/or drip pan?
How often do you deep clean the grill?
What is the best grill cleaners?
