I picked up a mint-conditon Land Rover LR3 TDV6 HSE yesterday for the equivalent of $500 via FB marketplace.
Previous owner stated no power, black smoke, lowered suspension, and faulty transmission & wanted it gone as scrap.
Stealership apparently quoted him in the region of $4,000 to rectify.
I had planned to use it for spares (I already have one).
However, less than 30 minutes after I started tinkering with it this morning, I have fixed all of the issues at no cost. (EGR valve stuck & Turbo hose not connected.)
Now I intend to put it back up for sale at at least 10x the value.
It is highly likely the previous owner will see my advert.
Should I feel guilty? Or is this just how the game works?
