EDIT: Solved! In my comment below
______
Hey,
I goofed. I have quite a few eBooks that are organized into genre on my computer with only some filenames having the author. I decided to use Calibre to organize and gather Meta for my files.
I added all of my eBooks and the Calibre looked like a HUGE mess. I decided to only add one genre/folder at a time, copy the Calibre to a separate folder, clear the Calibre app and proceed to the next folder. Oops - I didn't think about the database files linking my original ebooks with Calibre's sorted copies.I chanced it, copied all the authors to my default Calibre folder and did a fresh scan of my ebooks. Understandably so, they didn't link together and I now, seemingly, have to start fresh and do my matching & tagging all over again.
My question: Is there ANY way to take the dozens of database files that I still have (from all the different genres/folders that I individually scanned) and edit the paths to link together or am I going to have to start fresh and get my butt rescanning everything?
It's a mistake that I learned from, and am just trying to find a shortcut to get back on track. Thanks for your time!
