How do you choose where to sit

Alright Iām curious hornets, when you get to class/ start at the beginning of the year, how do you choose who you want to sit by? Are there any desirable spots to you or any red flags when your trying to get a seat?
Edit: are there people that make u want to sit next to them or vise versa, people who u want to sit far from?
