This book (which was recommended on r/adhdwomen) discusses trauma issues as well, and how certain traumas can make housecleaning a triggering event.

Post Body
The book is called "How to Keep House While Drowning" (by KC Davis). I just started it yesterday, and the last paragraph of chapter 11 offered so much insight into why I avoid certain bathroom chores, specifically cleaning the toilet. I figured this would be a help to others, too.
Bonus: the book is thin, and each chapter (31 chapters to correspond to 31 days in the month) is only a page or two long, and thus a daily reading isn't hanging over one's head like an anvil.
