Does anyone have any good non-mega strats for the remastered WAW maps?

I like the remastered maps a lot, particularly Verrückt, and I'd like to try and get as far as I can on them, but I don't want to be constantly using crate powers and perkaholics to get there. Seems almost every guide I look at has them as requirements.
Does anyone know any fairly reliable strats I can employ on these maps (especially Verrückt)? Anything is appreciated :)
