I applied for a control room operator position at CERN two days ago. Got a status update on my application that someone from CERN has viewed my profile and the application has moved to the "under review" tab on Smart Recruiters.
Can anyone working at CERN or someone who has been through the hiring process before confirm how long it will take them to reject/offer me the position and if there are any other steps after application submission before a final decision is made? P.S. CERN did mention on their website that this particular position was to be filled immediately after the deadline.
Secondly, I wanted to know how many years of experience does a control room operator has before joining CERN? The job posting didn't mention any specific number of years of work experience that is required. I have 3 years of work experience at a power plant control room in shifts. The job description matched 90% with what I do at my current workplace. Really hopeful that I will atleast get called for an interview.
