Was anyone else always really confused about Fiona's "powers" to get men?

I'd love to head everyone else's opinions but Gabrielle Anwar is just not that attractive but the show always depicted her as a woman that could make any guy's jaw drop. It was just kind of ridiculous.
I've been rewatching the show so I was just curious if anyone else shared the same sentiments.
