Yes, thank you for this comment. I was going for lighthearted, not to "shit on" someone. It was a way for me to break the ice with humor, and see if he would match the energy. Nothing else :)
I wasn't shitting on his profile, it was my opening line and it was a joke to break the ice lol.
😂 please. I have a sense of humor and it wasn't "nasty." I was opening up a conversation.
So opening up a conversation with a lighthearted joke to break the ice, is shitting on someone? Honestly, I always open with some humor to break the ice. This wasn't meant to be mean spirited. I'm curious why so many commenters jump to that conclusion.
Oh? We kept chatting after that, and he took the joke well, so I'm not sure where you're getting your info?
This was a while ago, we had a conversation, chatted on and off for a bit on the app, and then it fizzled out, like most matches do.
😂 please read my responses above. It's not like I'm some evil person, dude. Have a sense of humor and take it easy.
For posting someone's Bumble profile (with faces hidden for privacy), to a Bumble subreddit? I think maybe I'm not the one missing the point.
The point of this subreddit is to share things related to Bumble is it not? I did not show his face, I've seen plenty of others posting other people's profiles in this subreddit. If you don't understand the point of my post that's okay :)
This is just the start of the conversation. :) I wanted to start off with a joke. It's usually how I approach dating app matches.
Okay but I wasn't matching him "just to ask that." That was my opening line, I just have a sense of humor and I like to connect with others through jokes and laughing. There's not always ill intent :)
I matched with him so I could ask more questions about him and see if we'd be a good match. Isn't that why anyone does? Lol Why is everyone so aggressive in here today?
I posted this before without the pictures and people said "it only makes sense with the pictures," which just goes to show, you can't satisfy everyone 🤷♀️ and also I don't care to
And that's okay! You don't have to enjoy it :) and I don't have to continue to defend myself if you don't understand it.
What are fake internet points? lol. I posted it because I thought it was funny, and a nice way to break the ice with someone.
Okay should I lie about the fact that it fizzed out after a few days of conversation, and just say "guys we're married now" lol it's wild how y'all can pick apart every single detail like it even matters in the grand scheme of things
If it were me, I'd continue with the banter and playfully joke back. 🤷♀️
My god, please get a life and back off. I'm so tired of people getting so worked up over a post that means absolutely nothing. Like, please go criticize someone you actually know 😂
I'm sure that's easy to say if you live in a largely populated area. I swipe on anyone remotely interesting because there are very few "choices." So it's worth it to me to have a playful conversation with someone, even if I don't know exactly which one they are or what they look like. It helps me gauge whether or not we would be a good match and could keep a conversation flowing.
Get upset at some weird dude, for what? Attempting a joke and banter?
🤦♀️y'all are taking this way too seriously. It was meant to be funny. It was not mean spirited. We had plenty of messages back and forth after this. Everyone in here is just making assumptions at this point.

... it's astonishing to me how many people assume I did this for any reason other than to start a conversation with humor. Why do so many people assume there was ill intent? 🤔
