So, I completely missed the FS52 massdrop offer. And these are next to impossible to get in the UK (for a reasonable price).
So I'm looking for some other options. I'm thinking on just going for a a set of powered speakers, it makes life much easier and they generally have some pretty appealing features (alongwith lower overall price).
So I've been looking at the Edifier R1700BT and Edifier R1850DB
From what I've read so far, these sound really good for their price. And their design & bluetooth functionality are bonuses.
I'll be using these connected to my PC 80% of the time, and bluetooth 20% of the time. They will mostly used for music, they will rarely be used for tv/movie use.
I'm leaning towards the 1850DB's due to its sub out (will probably add a sub in the future) and more input options. I have a Schiit Modi & Magni stack with pre-amp out. Would it be worth using the pre-amp out on my Magni 3 and plugging it into the PC/AUX (whats the difference, or are they just the same) inputs.
Or are there any other options which are readily available in the UK for around this price?
Should I go up to the R2730DB?
Or should I go for something else? I'm not limited to powered speakers if I can get the whole lot in for £200
