Dear miners, I had one query regarding mining difficulty and its impact on aggregate hash rate of a blockchain network
I understand that when mining difficulty is increased, it means that the target hash required is adjusted such that the number of possibilities required to run through to achieve the correct number of zeroes rises which means that it takes more time to find an acceptable hash.
But does an adjustment of the network difficulty mean that for the miners, each attempt at an acceptable hash becomes harder or takes longer? i.e. when a miner is running through the number of possibilities for an acceptable hash, does each possibility become harder?
