I am a young writer who was inspired to write a fanfiction sometime last month.I've seen in the reviews that it is "promising" but "needs work", yet I do not exactly know what is wrong in my writings approach. I would very much appreciate the help of someone who could read my story and provide a more in-depth bit of feed back so that I may give my 100% in this. It may be practice towards a writing career I plan to make for myself, but I've loved the character since I was 3 and wish to do him justice.
It is a piece of writing based on Spider-Man meeting the X-Men (inspired by the evolution versions) and follows no specific story from any form of marvel media, but takes inspiration from them. The story takes place a few weeks after the death of Gwen Stacy and Peter is a 16 year old boy learning to get past the wrenching pain and struggle that comes with the life he's chosen. Being picked up by Xavier and his students based on the misconception that he may be a mutant. He lets new people into his life and learns to let the pain he bottles in subside when he concols with and opens himself to others. A "character study" of Peter Parker if you will and it will contain themes of emotional trauma and ptsd.
