How to prevent an infestation?
Post Body

I just got back from Europe on Friday night and woke up this morning with a cluster of two bites on my hip and three bites above my butt. On Tuesday I had a cluster of bites all on my left back side. We thought it was just mosquitos since I had those too and we couldn't find any bed bugs. But now that I know their bites actually take five days to show up and we were in a different hotel before that, that makes sense now.

I already washed everything in the machine and put it in the dryer. But my friend who had bed bugs before said the water needs to be boiling hot. Do I need to rewash everything or can I just put it in the dryer on high for an hour or two? I do have a steam cleaner but I don't know if it will be hot enough. I can purchase a hotter one on Amazon.

The one thing I am worried about is my car. I took the train to my mom's house where I parked my car. I put my stuff in a garbage bag and put it in my trunk. But I wore the same clothes. I did take a shower that morning though and wore clean clothes. How do I clean my leather seats without ruining them?
