Aspiring rope bunny here. Shibari is something I’ve had an interest in for a long time, and I’m thrilled that my Daddy is also passionate about this kink and has been practicing on his own recently. (We will be doing our first tie together tomorrow, a simple chest piece which he asked me to select, and I’m super excited!)

He currently has some natural fiber rope for beginner ties, but I know he wants to progress to more complex ties, bondage, and eventually suspension (after we’ve both had LOTS of practice, of course). For the record, I’m also very interested in exploring this with him.

Daddy’s birthday is coming up in a couple weeks, and one of the gifts I’d like to get him is a nice length of rope. Something that will look pretty on me of course, but also be soft on my skin and sturdy enough to safely hold up to more complex ties as we progress.

Where do you prefer to buy your favorite shibari rope, and how much of an investment am I looking at making here? (Money isn’t really an issue, I believe that you get what you pay for and am down to support small businesses, but it’s good to know so I can budget for his other gifts.)
