Just looking for some advice
Post Body

So just to give you guys some background on me. I have been a gigging musician since I was 15 years old. I toured when I was younger back came off the road when my wife and I had our first child. I’ve been playing with a cover band which is a constant gig, making decent money, still holding down a day job at the same time. I’m also back in school finishing up my degree in audio production.
It’s nice to have a consistent gig and still get to play, but I really want to be part of an original project again. I recently have really started to miss the road and being able to have that creative expression of making something new, to be honest I am burning out on the cover band scene. Plus being in a state where there is not a huge original music scene doesn’t really help either. So, with all that being said essentially what I’m asking is how do I get plugged back into that scene again? It’s been more than 10 years since I’ve toured so I’m really not sure where to start in trying to get back to that again. I don’t really have friends anymore that are in the scene. After a while you start losing touch with people, you know how life goes. Anyway, so that’s it. Anyone who has advice or recommendations please feel free to reach out.
