I just received my new Dan Electro 59DC short scale bass this morning. Out of the box this bass is super nice and all it needs is to be tuned. So as I was tuning it with my electric tuner I noticed the strings were getting super tight before it hit the correct pitch. This is the first short scale bass I've owned. So instead of breaking the strings tuning it I looked around Google for some answers on tuning a short scale bass and all I got was it is "tricky" and im guessing different some how from a standard bass. So here I am seeking some answers on how to tune a short scale bass. Sorry about the giant paragraph..... it didn't sound that long in my head LOL.
