I've been playing a campaign since the game launched. Slowly increasing and increasing my clan as a powerhouse. After, like, 10 years of playing Warband (laptop then Xbox) I never once became ruler. So I've been trying to rectify that here, to great success. I personally own quite the large amount of cities, castles, can field around 400 soldiers in my own singular warband, and have executed probably around half of the notables on the continent. My guy is only around 30-ish years old, but I have good amount of kids and connections too.
Unfortunately, very recently, this progress ground to a halt. The game has started becoming increadibly unstable. After a short while of playing, my save menu locks up when I try to press it. After about 3-5 minutes, I get into the menu and all saves are absent. Sometimes it just crashes when trying to get into it. Sometimes it just crashes randomly.
My guess would be that the game absolutely fucking hates large save file sizes? I'm going to reinstall the game and try shedding some other save files just to see if anything works, but I wanted to post this and see if you peeps knew anything about this too, or had any advice? For all I know, it could be a very well known problem, I don't really interact with the community as often as I should.
(And to counter any peeps who tell me to play on PC instead - I will, one day. Had to send back my new graphics card because it arrived with factory defects, and stock at this time of year is nonexistent, so my hands are tied.)
