Hey y’all!
If you’re new here or looking for info, this is the place to stop and check before you post that question you’re thinking about asking - the answer may already be in our FAQ! There's also some recommendations in there for learning about lore.
I’d recommend also checking the New Player Question or Question flairs to see if your question has been asked before. You can also type into whatever search engine you use:
[insert your question here] baldursgate3 reddit
Or
[insert your question here] bg3 reddit
That’ll help us prevent the subreddit from being cluttered with the same repeated questions.
If your question hasn't been asked (or asked recently enough) then use either one of the question flairs above and ask away.
BG3Builds and Multiclassing
For the people curious about builds or who want a more dedicated place to discuss them, there's r/BG3Builds. There's a good guide on multiclassing.
Community Wiki
Confused about what the different rolls mean or just want to find notable NPCs and loot in a location? Check out the Community Wiki. It's ad free and being worked on by people here in the community :)
Everyone working on this is doing a great job trying to prepare it for launch and beyond.
If you'd like to help contribute to the wiki, here is the Discord.
Character Planner Reminder: There is a Character Planner by GameFractal being worked on here (It's also in the sidebar on desktop or the 'See Community info' link on mobile).
It's a one person project, so updating it with the recent updates, adding what launch will bring, and some other useful features will take time - but it will be updated.
There is a feedback button on that site, please use it if you have any suggestions/constructive feedback. Feedback is very appreciated!
In Act 3 in the House Of Hope is there a way to terminate the contract with Raphael without having to fight him? I don’t care about the stuff you can get in his House, I just want the contract broken and keep my soul
oh I See, i really don’t feel like doing the Iron Throne again so I might just try and use some spells to keep him safe. I actually struggled a lot with the main floor fight already lol.
And even when he died I got like to the control center without saving any Gondian, but also without Astarion and his lockpicking skills I would have never made it through that one door 💀
Do you remember if he has the key for those doors? Because then I can at least take another companion with me and maybe have better chances of survival
I think I did something out of order, because for me he‘s on the main floor and immediately joins the fight, and not in the security room.
I did the Iron Throne before even going to the Steel Watch maybe that’s why he‘s already like right in the middle of the main floor.
Before I can even try to save him, he‘s already on the floor getting slashed lmao.
How were you guys able to save Zanner Toobin in Act 3 Steel Watch Foundry every single time I start the fight he throws grease on himself and someone else lights him up. Then he‘s prone for a while and just gets slashed. I started the combat three times but was unable to save him every single time because apparently he doesn’t want to live :(
From what I read the later fights in the Foundry get much easier with him.
Am I too low level for the Steel Watch Foundry ? I’m only Level 11. Should I bring Gale and maybe Halsin (my Tav is also a wizard) instead of Karlach and Astarion? I feel like they are kind of useless against the Steel Watch :(

Ugh next time I won’t impulsively make a deal with a devil I guess…
