Super light touring ski options
Post Body

Is there any significant difference between skis in the 1100-1200g range? I've been on the Hagan Ultimate 88's for a bit and they are getting pretty beat. I was thinking to just get the new version because they have been good enough.

They are pretty rough compared to any normal heavy ski I've used but I figure most of my time is skinning so I'm happy to have wobbly skis sometimes for the touring ability. I do spend a lot of time touring in the White Mountains in NH so a lot of shitty conditions. I'm not sure though that ANY 1100g carbon ski will actually perform that much better.

That said if you change up your style and just to little short turns they seem fine. I've done Utah powder and they were decent if you ski like it's the 80s.
