Which PNW volcano offers the best spring touring?
Post Body

My wife really wants to rent a house somewhere for a month sometime to work remote. I would probably be there most of the time, possibly have her family stop by (sister or dad) and I figured I could pick a location that would benefit both of us. I do a lot of ski touring trips so I was thinking if we could get this house near a destination I could have a ski trip where we can still see each other.

I have a ton of experience with backcountry and route finding in new areas, my main concern is I will not always have a partner with significant rope and glacier experience so I'm looking for the least technical options.

I get the feeling that Mt Adams is the best option in terms of vert and lack of technical requirements. I have a friend who MIGHT be able to make it out who is my most talented partner so if I was near Adams I would be close enough to zip up to Rainier if he can make it. If he can't I can just lap Adams.

Just curious what people's thoughts on the volcanoes are and how they compare. It's also summer and I am jazzed up for skiing and would just enjoy talking shop.
