This pregnancy has been pretty much textbook perfect, but without the severe symptoms. Morning sickness was mild, I'm still not suffering from significant back pain... No bleeding. I have had zero reason to think anything will go wrong. It's my first baby and my mom went 40 weeks for both children. I'm expecting to be past-due.

So now, I'm just days past the 36 week mark and I think I lost my mucus plug last night, and there was a bit of blood. This morning I've had some light cramping - first cramping at all, for the full pregnancy. I know in my head nothing is wrong - and baby has been moving normally - but I'm a bit freaked out. What if it happens sooner rather than later? Am I ready? Did I do something I shouldn't have? Will I go to the bathroom today and see a gush of blood?

I have my next appointment monday morning, and they will be doing a cervical check, so I'm hoping nothing else happens to scare me between now and then.
