I've been trying to clean up after kids leaving the doors open and letting flies into the house. A lot of patience and watching and then frantic swinging of the electric fly swatter/racket to zap those buggers. I sure of how those things work, where the circuit isn't complete until the outside mesh touches the inside mesh and it creates a complete current between the two, and I've even touched them before when I was younger. Shocking and hurt, but doesn't appear to be harmful to people old/developed enough.

The one I have only runs off of two 1.5v (AA) batteries, and has a thumb-press on the side that has to be held to keep it on and turns off when released. It could certainly be used without being on in that case, and has the safety feature of if dropped or released then it turns off automatically.

Knowing that, and with all the swinging of it, it got me thinking: Would someone, or has someone, used one of those things as a paddle for spankings?

If you have, what was the experience like, did you enjoy it, and would you do it again? What advice would you give to someone that was considering and/or willing to try it?

If you want to, what excites you to use something like this in that way? What concerns do you have about using such a device?
