I'm reading about consent specifically within a BDSM context and it says sobriety is a requirement, but I used weed to manage social anxiety and I really really really love being high during sex. When would this be an issue?

So yeah the title. I do understand the role of sobriety in consent, like if you're fucking sloshed out of your mind or whatever then that's not really consent and I wouldn't accept consent from someone clearly wasted (in the vast majority of situations/contexts). But I kinda feel like weed is kind of different and is also viewed differently by society at large? I've had plenty of stoned sex, and even though I'm generally less cynical when I'm high I don't just lose the ability to make decisions more or less as effectively as I would sober.

I'm looking to kind of get into the actual BDSM community around where I live and hopefully get invited to parties and such. And I know of an orgy that I plan to go to next year, where hopefully I'll be tied up for free use (assuming I get to go with a pal to keep an eye on me). Those are situations I'd very much prefer to be (slightly) high in, because being high gets rid of my horrendously bad social anxiety and makes everything feel amazing. Would that be okay? Would that only be okay if I went with somebody? Would most people consider me unable to consent??

What are your thoughts on this?
