I’ve been on and off FL for a little while now. I’ve seen some idiots but typically I’d report them and they’d disappear.

Recently I posted in a group and a guy came out of nowhere, accusing me of being fake. I responded and then blocked him but it didn’t stop there. He proceeded to harass me on every post, every comment - wherever I went, there he was. I looked at his comment history and for the last two years he’s done the same thing. All day long, trolling and harassing women. Bragging that FetLife won’t ban him. I spoke to 16 women, all who said they had the same experience and that they’ve been reporting him for months.

I finally spoke up on a group post and got into it with him. He told me he can get anyone banned - sure enough, my account was locked and a ban was in place within in hour. When I emailed Support and provided screenshot after screenshot of him harassing and telling people to take a gun to their mouths, Support stopped replying to me.

I made a new account and this time reached out to John Baku directly. He asked who I was referring to and I provided the username. Again, banned.

The users profile remains active, despite all of us reporting him, despite his threats, despite his harassment, despite his suggestions that people off themselves.

It’s insane to me that they’re protecting this one user, despite him causing so much upset. I also find it extremely odd that he was able to get me banned so fast, despite months of him repeatedly being reported.

Has anyone had an experience like this? It’s been such a turn off from the entire site because they clearly have no interest in protecting users.
