My take on TPE
Post Body

Whenever someone says "I want a TPE relationship", there's inevitably someone that says "Well actually TPE is super impractical. How can you make every decision for someone?"

I believe in the Equality of all people on a fundamental level. Yes, that includes people that like to be called slaves. BDSM is a collaborative partnership and that requires some acknowledgement that we are all people.

Within each submissive is something I call Agency. I don't think that's an official term, but I've used it for so long I feel like it is.

It's more than just the right to say the safeword and have hard limits respected. Agency means the submissive controls her participation and her own body. He/She/They have tremendous Power. But they also have the ability to transfer it to the Dom and allow them to make decisions.

Frequently throughout the day, the submissive simply has to make choices as function of being a sentient being. Do I pee now? Should I have a snack before lunch? Where should I stop for gas after work?

The Dom delegates authority makes general rules and delegate power back to the submissive. As long as the sub is in good standing and conducts herself according to the Dom's rules, it works perfectly.

Knowing that the submissive WOULD shave their head or skydive without a parachute at their Dominant's whim is a massive turn on for both parties. It highlights that total power exchange. But a Dom's sacred job is to protect, so the extreme stuff is best left to fantasy.
