advice for starting a tpe dynamic?

my Dom and I have been together for a few years and are starting to take our relationship in the direction of tpe. I (sub) love the idea, as does He, but I'm really curious to hear any stories or advice for things to do/not do from couples, Doms or subs who've tried similar. thank you!!
