I got labs done today, and my B12 level is currently 119 pg/mL, which from what I’m gathering here, seems particularly low (would love some input on this though, my doctors hasn’t given me further info on my labs/next steps yet). I got the bloodwork done because I’ve been experiencing diffuse hair loss for several months, but upon looking into the symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency, I think this might’ve just cracked the code for a lot of vague, unexplained symptoms I’ve been having for a long time.
I’m obviously waiting on my doctors input on what comes next, but I’m trying to get informed so I can understand how to best advocate for myself and take care of myself. So, what do you wish you knew sooner about vitamin B12 deficiency?
