How to play alongside Voltar?

I almost never play Voltar because I suck at playing him, so I'm not very familiar with his style. When I have him in my team I sometimes feel like I could be of more use to him, and him to me, but as a solo player I'm kind of used to doing my own thing. Of course while trying to support my team whenever possible, but with Voltar I don't know how support him to be of most credit to my team. So, if any Voltar players out there have some tips, I'd appreciate it, and maybe I'll be more useful next time we're on the same team.
