What do you do when your stimulation needs are soo different than your precious children's stimulation needs ðŸĪŠ
Post Body

I need a reasonable balance of quiet with enough motion and noise to keep me engaged.

My son however, needs to run around jumping and complaining and being joyful and babbling and watching tv on two devices, which I redirect to one thing for music and educational tv while he snacks and deconstructs the dog cage and then vacuums up with his play vacuum AND the attachment for our stick vacuum.

Anything more than that and I get overstimulated - I either start to disengage (like my brain wont focus) or get progressively anxious/annoyed.

How fun. Any tips for managing? Should I cancel the noise with headphones and sign or use AAC to communicate with him?

Should I enforce any specific boundaries with him or just let him be himself?
