I remember as a child wondering how people knew when the funny parts were and when to laugh at shows. For this reason, I liked shows with laugh tracks because it was like a cheat guide to tell me when to laugh.
Now, I use subtitles and I’ve been told before that I laugh before the joke is told. I’m not sure if I’m reading it before it’s said, if I’m just anticipating a joke, or if it’s just because I tend to watch the same shows over and over and I know where the jokes are now.
Does/did anyone else experience anything like this?
