Late bond return
Post Body

Hereโ€™s the story

We moved out a week before our lease ends cause the agent wanted to get inspections in, we did leave a week early.

Few days later he did the inspection on damages etc. Scratches on walls here and there. He just told us and did not get anyone to fix it up or anything.

A month has passed and he finally returned the bond, I read somewhere that in Victoria they have X amount of days to return the bond and get everything fixed up and subtracted from your bond etc.

He processes and returns the full bond to me already but he said we have to pay for repairs if ever. What if I ignore him since he broke that x amount of days and it went on for a month?

Can he do anything legal wise?

Also to note, he showed us the condition report before moving in BUT we did not sign anything. lol. We just kept forgetting to sign and a year went by. Lease ended. He never reminded or followed it up as well.
