06 A3 2.0T 6M problem

Check engine light keeps returning with same error, most likely fix is recommended as MAF sensor (Err P0171, bank 1 too lean). Replaced the sensor and light goes out for a couple weeks and returns anytime I go above ~5k RPM.
Anybody have a similar issue? Any advice on where to look next? Any help is appreciated.
